I mainly paint flowers, mostly from my own garden although find emotional release through self-portraits and collage
I believe in finding joy and beauty all around us, even in the many forms of grief we all experience.
Rather than work on an actual scratchboard as I have in the past, I now create the same look digitally. Many of my flowers are digital art.

Some days are all about vibrant color and the peace it brings just by recreating the beauty of a flower.

When I work on paper, I often begin intuitively; first wetting the paper, then applying fluid acrylic, and allowing the colors to bleed and flow where they may. Afterward, I gesso the surface and draw with a pencil.

I experiment with various art forms. I explore new ways of creating art, and I always desire to try what I have never done before, stretching my mind and expanding my capabilities.
